Pedophilia - a mental disorder!
Child rape, attempted rape or sexual attraction to children is called "pedophilia" in the language of psychology. Pedophilia is a disorder in which a full-grown person or an adult (older) person feels sexual attraction towards young children or uses it as a means to satisfy sexual needs.
According to experts, pedophilia is the 'most violent and heinous crime in the world'. The most common victims of pedophilia are: Stupid children who have no sexual desire or ideas.
Disadvantaged children.
Children of working families
Mentally challenged or mentally ill children.
Children of quarrelsome families.
Children of the family without supervision.
Also in any environment, in any location child rape can happen. One should not think that the victim of pedophilia will be only a girl child.
A pedophilia person feels sexual attraction towards both children. And meets his dirty needs when given the chance. Even in this case they even kill the child to avoid the risk of being caught.
According to the non-governmental organization 'Foundation for People', 399 children have been raped and attempted rape in Bangladesh from January to June this year.
The number of girls as well as boys in this list is not less! Many parents do not even complain for fear of social stigma. As a result, the criminals roam free. Due to the social position of our country, sex education of children is not given properly.
Many parents do not have basic ideas like private parts of the body, good touch-bad touch, safe circle! How do they teach kids!
Even in schools and colleges there is no proper education in this regard. As a result, panic is growing instead of awareness and taboo is growing instead of caution.
Raising awareness at all levels, psychological counseling, stopping victim blaming, ensuring punishment of offenders, teaching about this in schools and colleges is the need of the hour.
